The Clark College Pharmacy Technician program produces well-trained pharmacy technicians for the local community. Our students complete 240 hours of training in two different pharmacy externships and 100 hours of hands-on lab throughout the program. This training ensures our graduates are prepared for a variety of pharmacy settings including retail, hospital, home infusion, long term care, and compounding. In the Pharmacy Capstone course, students complete a portfolio and prepare for the Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam (PTCE).
The PTCE is expensive, and the added cost upon graduation can be a barrier in completing the exam. We are hoping to purchase vouchers to cover the cost of the PTCE for each student upon program completion, allowing the student to earn the Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT.) credential and demonstrate their knowledge and commitment to medication safety and patient care.
Please give today to help us provide easy access to this important credential.
